Cinnamon Spice Latte

Life is crazy, chaotic and non-stop!  Everyday is a roller coaster with my two busy kiddos and I’m always exhausted but I try to find time to treat myself to my favorite things and one of them is coffee.  I LOVE coffee…seriously, I LOVE coffee!  It’s my special treat in the morning and I truly enjoy my one cup.  Unfortunately by 4:00 pm when I get home from picking up the kids from school, I’m in need of more caffeine.  Coffee doesn’t always agree with me twice/daily so I’ve turned to tea.  I have fallen in love with cinnamon spice tea and decided to make a creamy blended version for my favorite afternoon snack.  Here it is…

 

  • 2 tea bags Cinnamon Spice Tea (Tazo is my favorite brand)

  • 1 Star Anise clove

Let the above steep in 2 cups of hot water for 10-15 minutes.

 

 

Remove the tea bags and clove and combine the tea with the following…

  • 1 Tbs. of my favorite coconut creamer  

  • 1/2 tsp. Primal Palate Pumpkin Pie Spice

  • 1 scoop Vital Proteins Collagen Blend (this makes the latte frothier and also helps with bones, joints, skin and hair)

  • 1 packet of Stevia or your favorite natural sugar

  • 1 Tbs. MCT Oil  (this works directly in cells to give you healthy fats and also an extra boost for maximizing your workouts)

  • A splash of unsweetened vanilla coconut milk (can use almond milk)

Blend all of the above in a blender or Vitamix for 30 seconds.   Pour hot and enjoy!  You can sprinkle with additional Pumpkin Pie Spice on top for garnish.  You can also add vanilla flavored ghee to mixture before blending. If you don't care for tea, you can use coffee but will need to add cinnamon.  This is the perfect drink for a cold day!  Enjoy!
