I have to admit...I'm not the biggest fan of smoothies. It's something about drinking a meal or snack that just doesn't work for me as I find myself hungry 30 minutes later. The one thing I do like about smoothies is that you can load them with almost any fruit or veggie, throw in some protein/collagen powder, your favorite milk and you have a drink full of nutrients. I recently got into smoothie bowls because I can load them with fun toppings and it feels like a meal. The possibilities are endless with smoothie bowls! Take any smoothie combination you like and add a sprinkle of flax seed, chia seeds, fruit, or nuts and you totally change the flavor...it's fun to experiment! I plan to create fun, new bowls and will post soon!
Banana Chocolate Smoothie Bowl
1 cup Vanilla almond milk
1 scoop Primal Health & Nutrition Cherry Chocolate Protein Powder (or any chocolate protein powder)
1 Banana
1 tablespoon Honey
1 teaspoon Cinnamon
1 tablespoon Almond Butter
1 cup Ice (or more if needed)
Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth and creamy. Pour into bowl and add whatever toppings you prefer. Some ideas are sliced banana, grain-free granola, chia or flax seeds, shredded coconut, and almond butter drizzle. I encourage you to add whatever flavoring fits your tastes!
