Texas Twist Seasoning

 Hey Friends!  I'm back with another homemade seasoning blend!  I have gifted jars of my All-Purpose Seasoning to many of my friends and family (and I know some of you have made your own batch) and the feedback was overwhelming!  I'm glad so many of you loved my first seasoning and discovered it's many uses...on chicken, roast, seafood, veggies, in sauces, etc.  I seriously use that seasoning on everything!

 

I began dabbling in other seasonings to see what flavors I could come up with and decided a "Taco-ish" flavored seasoning was something I would use all the time.  I played with different spices and came up with this new blend...Texas Twist Seasoning!  This blend is so good, has a certain "twist" to it and can be made with a "Kick" by adding chili powder.  This seasoning is the perfect flavoring for taco meat, grilled shrimp, in scrambled eggs for breakfast burritos, or on sauteed veggies (it's awesome on onions and peppers).  I have been using it so often that I'm actually on my second batch.  

 

This recipe makes a huge batch of seasoning so I've filled smaller jars like the one shown and given it as gifts to friends and family.  It's an awesome way to show how flavorful "clean" ingredients can be.  I would love for you to make your own batch and let me know your favorite way to use it!

Texas Twist Seasoning

  • 1 Cup Fine Himalayan Pink Salt

  • 1 Cup Granulated Garlic

  • 1 Cup Granulated Onion

  • 1 Cup Parsley

  • ½ Cup Paprika

  • ¼ Cup Sage

  • ¼ Cup Thyme

  • ¼ Cup Rosemary

  • ¼ Cup Cumin

  • ¼ Cup Black Pepper

  • ¼ Chili Powder (optional for added spice)

Thoroughly mix all ingredients.  If you prefer a finer consistency, you can blend the herds in a food processor before mixing.  I store it in a jar in the pantry or ziploc bag.
